Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Medical Surgical Floor - Cardio Pulmonary Unit Job Duration: 26 Weeks Shift: 12H Nights Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hours Per Week Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience, Neuro and Tele experience highly preferred License: Idaho Licensure Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS preferred Must-Have: - Highly prefer Neuro and Tele experience - EPIC experience preferred - Must possess 1 year of experience; first-time travelers welcome Job Description: - Work in the Cardio Pulmonary Unit with a 36-bed capacity - Nurse-to-Patient Ratios: typically 1:5 (may occasionally flex to 1:6) - Common patient types include cardiovascular, strokes, sepsis, COPD, CHF pneumonia, COVID, chest tubes, telemetry patients, and general medical overflow - Handle post-catheter lab patients after short stays, post pacemakers, etc. - RNs are not required to titrate drips - Monitor techs present; RNs are required to read and interpret telemetry using SpaceLabs, transitioning to Philips - Charge Nurse and Resource/Team Lead RN available each shift for support - Utilize RT equipment, excluding vents; handle fresh trach patients after ICU/IMCU stay - Scrub color: Navy blue scrubs, acceptable undershirts include white/navy/black. Scrub jackets must be navy. No sweatpants or hoodies allowed. - Weekend and holiday shifts required based on need - May float to medical and surgical floors as needed - Facility adheres to a 50-mile radius rule for candidates--- permanent address.
